Nite Jewel - No I Don’t
Premiere from new LP, One Second of Love

Much of the new album from Nite Jewel sounds super sugar pop. Its cleaned up, shiny, and definitely has a soul R&B groove to it. Its definitely a departure, and I suppose its to be expected with the release of the She’s Always Watching You 7”. My own tastes tend to lean away from that R&B sound, but it only really dips in full throttle in a couple tracks. As a whole what I find is that Ramona has a superior voice that is finally moving beyond the limitations of her earlier bedroom pop releases. I love those releases, but her new body of work makes use of her talents, exploring new regions.
