Sacred Paws - Postcards

Check out volume 2 of the Riot Grrrl DIY compilation from Riots Not Diets featuring a slew of underground UK punk/twee/riot grrrl bands all collected on one gorgeous piece of wax thats super cheap to boot, like £5 quid (+P+P) cheap.

Riots Not Diets:

This compilation is sold as cheaply as possible. Tuff Enuff is a DIY/not for profit concern, and the very meagre mark-up on the cost price is merely to ensure there are sufficient funds to send all contributors a copy.

I don’t always associate DIY with not for profit, as I like to support artists that make music I like, but this collection of tracks is so inexpensive that it begs to be snatched up.  I love the care taken with the production, zene, and green wax, a real labor of love.  You can stream the album in full on their BnCmP (as if there was ever any doubt about it).

Carry On Rioting: Riots Not Diets Compilation Vol. 2 is strictly Ltd to 250 copies on green vinyl complete with an A3 sugarpaper zine and card insert.  Order your copy here

Covergirl - Ice Father Nation

Who doesn’t like some good ol’ riot grrl/queercore/twee punks/homocore?

Segway: Saw this ^^^ on Rough Trade randomly as I was snagging a copy of the new Thom Yorke side project (don’t wet yourself), including Yorke, Flea and Radiohead producer Nigel GodrichAtoms for Peace is the new super group in question, and they’re releasing a hand numbered 12” with two remixes that’s disappearing extraordinary fast, as of now Rough Trade has less than a dozen copies left.

Back to the riot grrl, I was immediately excited to see a few bands I recognized, most notably Trash Kit whom have had a super sick s/t LP out for some time now.  This is an excellent mix of new & known UK punk, released on a pink vinyl and super Ltd to 250 copiesAlso includes a3 zine!! [who doesn’t love zenes?!] Expertly crafted a3 sugar paper poster zine packed with interesting information and trivia about yr fave queer/rg bands, and there’s another insert included too, but thats secret till you receive yr LP

Ooo secret stuff, count me in.  The record is also sooo cheap at ₤6.40 or like $10.  Shipping to states costs more than the damn record.  Oh well, a great little secret treat to snatch up while the going is good.
