Golden Grrrls - Paul Simon

Golden Grrls have their 1st full length out now andare touring with Veronica Falls, then heading to the East coast for headline shows.

Night School Records:

To celebrate this event the band have waxed two BRAND NEW recordings for a tour 7” released on new label TIMID DISCS. The recordings here are as immediate as any you’ll find on their debut album, with ‘Music For Neighbours’ capturing an incessant, jubilant groove that reminds one of The Feelies’ best output, all break-neck drumming and powerhouse 3-way harmonizing. ‘Never Here’ is a classic flipper, wistful and perfectly summer-melancholic. These won’t last long.

Golden Grrrls - Music for Neighbours b/w Never Here tour 7” is Ltd to 335 Xeroxed Sleeve, hand stamped and stapled, with super limited quanitites avaialable from the Night School web store here.

Golden Grrrls - Time Goes Slow

Primiere from debut LP ‘We’ve Got…’

Been waiting a long time for this one to drop, the first full length from Glasgow’s Golden Grrls.  The past year has seen two infectiously poppy Ltd 7”s released on Night School, both now long OOP.  Night School is covering a Ltd international release, with only 200 LPs on clear vinyl available here

Slumberland has picked up the band for the US release, and they’ll have a Ltd white vinyl version available only for mail order only, available here.

Pick your poison, and snatch up this fantastic LP asap.

Golden Grrrls - We’re Got…

After two stellar sold out 7”s and a split on Night School, Glasgow’s Golden Grrrls are releasing a full length on Night School/Slumberland February 25th.  Apparently they recorded the album with their friend Jamie Grier in a converted glue factory in Glasgow in April this year.  Their previous singles were nothing but pure gloriously addicting pop, and this latest single from the forthcoming album is completely on par and better.  Golden Grrrls are Eilidh Rodgers, Ruari MacLean and Rachel Aggs.  Keep an eye out for what shall surely be a winning debut.

LSSN011: Golden Grrrls / Sea Lions - Tour Split E.P 7”

Actually was just actively looking for copy of this tour 7”, how convenient Night School read my mind:

Slumberland group Sea Lions came over to the UK for the first time in July 2012 to play Indietracks and embarked on a tour with UK group Golden Grrrls. To commemorate the occasion they released a limited tour 7” which now sees a world wide release. Both bands contributed an original song and a cover version. Sea Lions take apart ‘Nervous Breakdown’ by Black Flag, turning it into a shamble-core nugget of shrill guitar versus Adrian Pillado’s laconic vocal delivery and contributed ‘On and Off’ - as close to an anthem as Sea Lions get. Golden Grrrls tackle ‘I Don’t Want You Anyway’ by kiwi group Look Blue Go Purple, remaining fairly faithful to the original with some added punk nrg, while their original is a garage pop bullet in the form of ‘Billy,’ which sees Ruari MacLean take lead vocal to counter the female backing. 4 songs as good as any you’re going to hear this year.

Agreed ^^^
