Brilliant Colors - How Much Younger

Watch Brilliant Colors play on a pile of rubble in low-res VHS quality video!

I never did see this video when the new album came out last yearish and came across it when checking out the next post’s band also on Slumberland…These girls rock out live best; last I saw them was at a tiny church basement show (extra intimate!) in North Hampton.  If you never checked out their new or prior records, zip over to Slumberland here for some knowledge.

Brilliant Colors - Should I Tell You

Forgot my damn Polaroid for the Brilliant Colors show Sunday night at Flywheel, oh well.  Despite the fact that the vocals are always too low at Flywheel, the show was effin awesome.  It might’ve been the shortest act I’ve ever seen, but it was raw power and passion.  They closed out with my favorite track!^^^!  and everyone in the band was super friendly n nice before the show.  Its a church basement with usually a max capacity of maybe 50 people, and I think the show was all of $7 bones, so what are you gonna do?  There was also a slew of ok openers, excluding the very first one (of course) called Baby Barnyard.  Very beautiful Twin Sister-esqe sounds from a boy/girl twosome.  Wish they had cassettes with em, but luckily they’ve got a name your own price download on the ol’ BnDcMp.

Brilliant Colors had a sweet super Ltd to 100 copies demo cassette split with Veronica Falls that I snagged. Maybe if I get around to it I’ll make a digital rip and get it onlineNot sure if you can pick it up anywhere else besides at shows.  BC have their first two LPs and an EP still available from Captured Tracks and Slumberland.
