I been waitin for this debut LP since first hearing of my favorite 7”s of the year; CT-99 Into Black/Firestarter 7”.  Dreamy syths coupled with beautiful, melancholy tinted vocals line the walls of these tracks.  Dark and slightly sad, but yet I still have the urge get up and dance by myself…possibly in a dark corner.  Kinda reminds me of something in between Terror Bird and Class Actress.

So as always at Captured Tracks there’s a fancy ass Ltd edition white vinyl w/ hand screen printed cover available of the new Blouse s/t LP.  Comes in a package with new EP from The Soft Moon also on white vinyl for only $1 bone more than the normal boring black vinyl editions of each.  Not sure how many? Captured Tracks special packages usually go pretty quick so gets to the hopin.

Blouse - Nights & Days

New 7” on the way via Subpop.  I wrote up on their recent debut 7” from Captured Tracks and how extraordinarily it was…here we are barely a month later and they’re releasing on Subpop.  Damn that was fast, granted its just a 7”, but good move on their part.

Blouse - Firestarter

In conjunction with the debut Craft Spells LP, also elated to see Blouse finally get some tunes on vinyl after posting on them last monthish.  Many labels will get all jazzed on their new 7 and brag about how its a double AA side; as in both tracks are equally good singles with no ‘b side.’  Well rarely is that ever true, and I’ll tell you this Blouse 7” fits the bill.  B side track Firestarter stands out just as much, and I think more than its A side brother.
