Black Tambourine - Throw Aggi Off the Bridge

Recommended from a friend whose musical taste I respect, I should’ve looked into Black Tambourine a lot sooner.  Seems like it was at least 6 months ago he was visiting town, I was spinning a Dum Dum Girls record, and as we were swapping good music finds he mentioned Black Tambourine.  Course it wasn’t till now, that I actually picked up a copy after seeing it in our local record store.  My mind is blown, I can’t believe these guys formed in ‘89 (random trvia: Slumberland’s 1st release), recently released a new double 7” via kickstarter, and I’m just catching up now?!

Just the absolute perfect combination of raw guitars, punk & pop.  Sounds like a far reaching influence to the multitude of recently emerging all girl post-punk bands (minus that they only had the one ha).

Check out the 2XLP compilation that gathers up all their random singles into one nice gatefold package & the kickstarter double 7” of their most recently recorded material, both available from Slumberland here.  So good.
