The Savages played their debut London show at the first POP NOIRE night in London on January the 24th 2012 and this is the first song of their set.  Savages are Jehnny Beth, Gemma Thompson, Ayse Hassan, Fay Milton.

Can you say serious 80’s punk influence? See Siouxie, Dead Kennedys, etc.  If that’s your bag, then this is it.  Savages proclaim that their indestructible sound…is written for the stage.  While I’ve heard from critics that their debut 7” (now sold out after a second pressing) didn’t retain the same energy as their live performances, the Savages have answered that by releasing their first EP as a genuine live recorded 12” 

I Am Here was recorded on the band’s July UK tour on dates in tiny, heaving clubs in Bristol and Nottingham. The recordings capture the full scything energy and brutal power of the Savages live experience.

Savages - I Am Here 12”  was released 10/22 on Pop Noire here, and considering the popularity of the first 7”, I imagine they’ll be going fast.
