Cloud Nothings - Morgan

So psyched at my good fortune to catch a decent show in Albany, which only happens once every few months!  Thursday night downstairs at Valentines, and it felt like a secret, with only a couple dozen people present.  Did get a chance to snag an advance copy of their new s/t Cloud Nothings LP on vinyl (which comes out tomorrow), and meet the band.  Put out one of the best live shows I’ve seen in these parts in ages, fast fun, and LOUD! Their drummer is insanely good as you can tell from the quick video, and the second guitarist was picking fast as a maniac. 

Grab the new album Cloud Nothings LP here from Carpark Records, as well as a sweet limited Should Have b/w I Know (You’re All Done With Me) 7” picture disc.  If you’re lucky, maybe you can still grab a copy of their 1st LP Turning On, 500 repress cloud colored vinyl from Speaker Tree Records here.  Truth be told on first listen I don’t like the new s/t LP as much as Turning On or their 7”s, mostly because the vocals sound too cleaned up now, but I’m still digesting it…
